I am falling. I am falling and falling and I know it's going to hurt.
I am falling through the tree and the twigs branches vines all fail to catch me
I am falling and it's going to hurt I am rushing to the ground and when I arrive I WILL FALL THROUGH to the very center of the earth and find all the little god breads they toast at its heart to eat at church where mama says I can go soon if I am good
The dirt meets my body.
My face, my thorax, my abdomen
The earth seizes my body out the air
The earth knocks the air out of my stomach
I am suspended between pain and realization
I will cry but not yet
Not until I remember how to breathe
Not until the earth gives my air back
Please give me some air...please
Let me feel the pain
